Sailor Girl + Hand of Fatima

Sailor Girl

Nämä söpöläiset löytyivät vielä luonnoksista... ;)

Found these cuties among my drafts too... ;)
You all know my recent obsession with eBay. Well after buying some shorts and hi-low skirt,
I've been searching for jewellery. I know, I work at a jewellery / accessory store which has wide
collection of items I love. But currently we don't have jewels like these,
and I've wanted something nautical for a long time. Too bad I don't own a sailing boat,
I would dress up myself with nautical theme. Seller actually sent me two of those necklaces by accident,
so I gave the other one to my sister. :)

Hand of Fatima

pieni riipus n.1,50 cm ja lyhyt ketju.
[small pendant (approx. 1,50 cm) and short chain.]

Rakastan koruja, joilla on tarina.

TRANSLATION:
When I was a little girl, my mum got silver Fatima's hand as a souvenir from her friend.
I didn't know the name for the pendant at that time, I just thought it was really beautiful.
Some time ago I saw it again and wanted to have one similar for myself. Ebay came to the rescue,
and I did find the most pretty little "Hamsa" (other name for it) necklace!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hamsa for history behind it.

I love pieces with a story.

  7. Todella nättejä koruja! Onhan se aina ihan eri juttu kantaa koruja joilla on merkitys/tarina, kuin jotain H&M:n tusinahelyä ;) Hirmuisen söpö postaus, tää oli kivaa luettavaa :) Ihanaa viikonloppua! ♥
